Emma
I am the Head Teacher at Walnut Creek Infant. I am originally from Santa Barbara, CA and moved to the Bay Area in 2014. I completed my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education at Santa Barbara City College and then my Bachelors Degree in Child and Adolescent Development with an Emphasis on Early Childhood Education at San Francisco State University. I have worked with infants, toddlers and preschool aged children since 2010. Most recently, I worked at a center in Oakland where I served as a Co-Director and Head Infant Teacher. I find so much joy observing children learn and discover through play! I am passionate about building strong relationships with children and their families and scaffolding learning with interest based activities and experiences. In my spare time I love spending time with friends and family, seeing live music, spending the day parks and exploring around San Francisco and the East Bay!
Thao
My name is Thao and I am the Head Teacher in Training at Walnut Creek Infant. I earned my degree in Fine Art mainly focused on painting. When I started school I joined a face painting company which connected me to many Bay Area families. I love working with children in such magical environments so I stayed for almost 10 years. Because of that experience I continued to go into art education and taught after school programs and hosted many zoom drawing classes for kids. I have experience babysitting infants while also raising my own. Watching babies discover and explore in a safe environment brings me joy and appreciate each day with them.
